Walang Pasok + Walang Mayor = TRENDING

Rainy season in the Philippines occurs every June and lasts till the end of October. Most of the typhoon that landfalls in the country is during July and August. When heavy rains occur, students in every city are all waiting for the announcement of class suspension.

Way back when I was a kid, I am always excited about class suspension because I will have a longer time to rest and do pending assignments and projects. Little I realized that for many students and employees its very risky and too hassle to commute because of flood, heavy rains and strong winds. I appreciate early announcement when I go to college since travelling is such a hard thing to do.

Today, another tropical cyclone has seen within the Philippine Area of Responsibility and the weather bureau named it Jenny. Its expected to make a landfall in Aurora and some northern part of the countries affecting Metro Manila as well. Since yesterday, many areas experienced heavy rains. Students in National Capital Region are waiting for the announcement of class suspension. Almost all cities in NCR announced no classes in all levels while Pasig and Manila City suspends classes from preschool to senior high school. On the other hand, Makati City only suspends classes in preschool level.

There are late suspensions and we know that today, this generation is active on social media websites. Students flooded tweets on Twitter reiterated how important it is to make an early announcement. The students and even parents are concerned on their safety so #WalangPasok and #WalangMayor tops the trending list in Philippine Trends again. It Isn't the first time that these two hashtags went viral because most of the time when heavy rains occur, tweets just blasts off the social media too.

Here are some funny memes on #WalangPasok and #WalangMayor

Thousand of memes and GIFs were spread everywhere in social media. Some are funny and some are just realistic. Imagine a student looks like an amphibian just to go to school.

#WalangMayor also made a spot, and here are some memes.

These are trending since August 27 until now, August 28, students are still waiting for class suspension. As of the moment, its already 1:46 am and there's no heavy rains but that doesn't mean it won't rain for the next few hours. Its still better to keep an eye for the development of tropical cyclone Jenny. I saw one tweet and I decided to include it on this article. Tweet is on point. If you think that you are way too affected with the typhoon, even there's no class suspension but its dangerous to go outside its best not to.
